Adele’s hit single “Easy on Me” maintains its stronghold at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart for the ninth consecutive week.
“Easy on Me,” released under Columbia Records and initially topping the Hot 100 in late October, garnered 101.2 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 2%) and 15.1 million U.S. streams (down 4%), while selling 6,000 downloads (down 24%) in the tracking week of Jan. 7-13, according to MRC Data.
This ballad secures an eighth week at No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart but slides from 4th to 5th on Digital Song Sales, after two weeks at the peak, and from 5th to 16th on Streaming Songs, following five weeks at the summit.
Noteworthy is its achievement as the first song in over a year-and-a-half to surpass 100 million in radio reach, a feat last seen with The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” which reached 115 million on the Radio Songs chart dated May 23, 2020, eventually claiming a record 26-week Radio Songs dominance and holding the pinnacle position on the Greatest of All Time Hot 100 Songs chart.
Across various formats, “Easy on Me” maintains its reign at No. 1 on Adult Pop Airplay (nine weeks), Pop Airplay (seven weeks), and Adult Contemporary (six weeks). It also resurges to its peak at No. 6 on Adult R&B Airplay and stays steady at No. 10 on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, bolstered by remix plays.
Additionally, “Easy on Me” inches closer to matching Adele’s longest Hot 100 reign; “Hello” held the top spot for 10 weeks in 2015-16.
